UNMIK and Government allocate €1 million for employment

Prishtina, 23 August 2004 – According to information broadcasted by KosovaLive news agency the international administration in Kosovo and the Kosovo Government have allocated a sum of €1 million for an employment project. The project will be implemented by the United Nations Development Program, UNDP. This is a pilot project that aims at creation of more job opportunities in the future.

‘We have focused on a joint project of the Kosovo Government, UNMIK and UNDP to create jobs, seasonal or permanent. Initially, some 900 workers will be employed, but later we hope that with the help of donors we will create more job opportunities’, the agency quotes PM Rexhepi.
