Prishtina, June 16, 2005 – Kosovo Government Coordinator for the Implementation of Standards Avni Arifi told KosovaLive that the economy standard is close to being fulfilled.
The official reports that all priority parts of the standard have been satisfied. Those related to the anti-corruption agency have been fulfilled just recently.
The anti-corruption law was signed into effect by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) Soren Jessen-Petersen on May 12.
“We received the law two weeks ago, and now the process of creating the anti-corruption agency begins,” added Arifi.
