Prishtinë, Dec 2, 2004 – Starting from January 1, 2005, the Ministry of Finance and Economy will simplify the tax structure from three taxes into two: Personal Income Tax and the Corporate Income Tax.
Three taxes are currently being applied: Presumptive Tax, Tax on Profit, and Tax on Personal Income.
All taxpayers will be obliged to pay the tax on rent as of January. It will be paid every three months and the tax fee is 16%.
“By simplification of this tax Kosova is moving towards implementing of a fiscal policy in line with the international standards,” Minister of Finance and Economy (MFE), Ali Sadriu said.
