Kosovo and Turkey are continuing their economic cooperation. Following the agreement in the customs area, the finance ministers of the two countries have signed an agreement in the field of taxation.
Kosovos Finance Minister, Bedri Hamza stated the importance of this agreement: “We signed another agreement that will deepen our cooperation, the elimination of double taxation agreement, aimed at attracting investors and creating good conditions for businesses in both countries. We have also begun negotiations for the free trade agreement, “said Hamza .
Turkeys Finance Minister, Mehmet Simsek, estimated that economic growth, peace and stability in Kosovo, are important for the entire region and stressed that the agreement for the elimination of double taxation will affect investments and economic growth in general.
“We stimulate firms and Turkish businessmen to come to Kosovo and see Kosovo as the cradle of investment for Europe. Thanks to the reforms that have been made by the government, Kosovo has become quite attractive to investors, “he said.
The agreement is expected to be implemented on January 1, 2013.
