Georgia and Kosovo new markets for Turkey

Ankara, 9 January 2007 – The Undersecretariat of Turkish Foreign Trade will begin talks for free trade agreements with four countries in the first half of this year in order to find new markets for Turkish business and enlarge present ones.

Talks with Georgia, which are of high importance for Turkish businessmen, are planned to commence in the third week of January.

Turkey will also begin trade negotiations with Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia in accordance with the common trade policies of the European Union.
