September 28, 2011 – The Minister of Trade and Industry, Mimoza Kusari-Lila says that after September 22, trucks from Kosovo have entered Serbia only with documentation of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the Kosovo Customs spokesman, all Kosovar cargo trucks entered Serbia only with documents issued by the Kosovo Customs. According to him, since the lifting of the reciprocity measures on September 16, 1600 Serb trucks have entered the territory of Kosovo while only 30 trucks from Kosovo have entered Serbia.
One of the Kosovo companies that exported goods into Serbia is “Fludi” from Gjilan. Berat Mustafa, a manager in this company, says that immediately after the lifting of the embargo by the Kosovo Government, they have tried to export goods into Serbia, but it had been impossible since the Serbian Customs required documents issued by the Serbian parallel structures in Kosovo.
After three days, the company was able to export goods into Serbia using only documents of the Republic of Kosovo.
