Austrian companies interested for Kosovo

Prishtina, 15 June 2007 – According to Kosovar Office for Investment Promotion in Vienna, implemented by the Economic Initiative for Kosova (ECIKS), many companies from Austria, Germany and Switzerland are interested in investing in Kosovo. Most of them are waiting for the final status resolution of Kosovo before taking any further steps.

In a press conference of the EU pillar, also attended by Mr. Kujtim Dobruna, head of Vienna office of Investment Promotion Agency of Kosovo and Mr. Andreas Fritz, head of Austrain Development Agency in Kosovo, Mr. Dobruna said that representatives of 26 Austrian companies have paid a visit to Kosovo few days ago in order to get better information on the investment opportunities and legal framework in Kosovo.

The Economic Initiative for Kosova (ECIKS), a Vienna based organization, is officialy representing the Investment Promotion Agency of Kosovo (IPAK) in German speaking countries. The IPAK office in Vienna is financed by the Austrian Development Agency.
