The financial cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Austria has been finalized. On behalf of the Kosovo Government ,the agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance Bedri Hamza and on behalf of the Austrian Government by its Minister of Finance, Maria Fekter.
The agreement aims to further promote close and friendly relations between the two countries in general with a particular emphasis on the expansion and deepening of the financial cooperation.
As stated in the agreement, the Austrian Ministry of Finance is ready to support the development and financing of infrastructure projects in the framework of the Austrian Government soft loan program, re-financed by the Austrian Control Bank (OeKB), which offers financially affordable loans. The value in the financial framework is 20 million euro, and was originally intended for a period of two years.
