Turkey looks to invest more in Kosovo

Businesspeople from Kosovo and Turkey have met in a gathering in the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (KCC), where they discussed the possibilities of cooperation and trade between the two countries.

The new ambassador of Turkey in Prishtina, Songül Özan, has emphasized the ability of Turkey to invest more in Kosovo and has also requested that Turkey is allowed to participate in tenders in Kosovo. The ambassador said that Turkey is interested to invest in the field of telecommunications and energy.

12 companies with Turkish capital exist in Kosovo, whereas Turkey exports goods at the value of over 180 million euro annually. In total, companies from Turkey have invested over 100 million euro in Kosovo and it is soon expected that they will be allowed to participate in state-issued tenders.
