Property rights – the most difficult standard to be fulfilled in Kosovo

Prishtinë, May 23, 2006 – The representatives of Kosovo institutions, in charge of implementation of Standard VI, the right to property called for more support from the Government, saying that it is one of the most difficult standards to be fulfilled and that it is directly related to status.

They made these comments during the regular meeting of the working group on Standard VI.

Muhamet Aliu, Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MESP) evaluated as positive the fulfilling of standards in general. “However there is still more to be done.”

He said that they have called on the municipal housing companies to prepare a roster of all the apartments and hand it to the Cadastral Agency of Kosovo.
