Local Kosovo producers face problems

Prishtina, 22 january 2007 – KTV reported that following the EU membership of Bulgaria and Rumania, Kosovo producers are facing great difficulties as they have to wait several days in order to obtain a visa for Bulgaria, which is considered to be transit for Kosovo producers, reported KTV.

Kosovo economy experts consider that these obstacles will negatively influence the economic development of Kosovo, especially this year when a general economic decrease is announced.

Another problem Bulgaria’s membership brought forth is the energy crisis in the region. This is expected to negatively reflect on Kosovo considering that the greatest energy import was from Bulgaria.
