Kosovo’s road infrastructure has improved significantly

Over the past four years, road infrastructure in Kosovo has improved significantly. Besides regional roads, many local roads have been built as well as the highway linking Kosovo with Albania.

According to the Minister of Infrastructure, Fehmi Mujota, the construction of many local roads in addition to regional roads and highways, has positively influenced the development of agriculture and tourism: “Today we have approximately 2000 kilometers of regional roads, but there are also many kilometers of local roads. If we add the start and continuation of the highway construction and the planned highway to Skopje, we can say that for four years Kosovo has changed enormously”.

This year, the Ministry of Infrastructure has a budget of around 280 million Euros, of which 240 million will be invested in the highway “Ibrahim Rugova” (R7), while the rest will go to projects in progress.
