Prishtinë, Dec 19, 2005 -The Turkish Consortium MNG, which owns the best known hotels in Turkey, such as Cremlin Palace, Topkapi and Kiris Resort, will bid for the Grand Hotel in Prishtina. This is confirmed by EuroKoha company representative, Remzi Ejupi, who is within the consortium bidding for the largest hotel in Prishtina.
“We have taken the application forms and documentation, and we shall bid for the Grand Hotel at the KTA tender,” says Ejupi. Apart from Mehmet Nazif Gynaz, owner of this consortium, 14 other companies have taken application documents.
A Turkish company owning a Hotel in London, then the Faktor Bank – a Slovenian group, Albanians from Switzerland and USA, etc.
“We are pleased to see these serious companies bidding. We have provided all our information to these potential companies”, said Zeke Ceku, General Director of the Kosova Company, which manages also the Grand Hotel. Interest was expressed also for Iliria Hotel, in Pristina. The Grand Hotel shall be privatized through special spin-off, while bids shall open on January 15, 2006. Afterwards there should be an identification of the highest bidder, the amount of investment and employees the bidder plans to have.
