02 February 2007 – The business community and civil society proposed yesterday in a public hearing of the draft law on VAT the exemption from VAT for households and for electronic media technology. The drafters of this law promised to consider these requests.
The chief of LDK caucus, Alush Gashi, promised that the law would be in favor of businesses. Head of Parliamentary Committee for Budget and Finance, Naser Osmani, said the law would be drafted by experts, in continuous consultations with representatives of the business community.
The Committee for Budget and Finance also urged the institutions to present their suggestions for the new draft law on VAT.
