Kosovo Minister visits sheet metal factory

Vushtrri, 18 September 2007 – During a series of visits of Board members of Kosovo trust Agency (KTA) to enterprises privatised via special spin-off, to monitor the fulfilment of the special spin-off conditions, Minister of Trade and Industry Bujar Dugolli visited the sheet metal factory Llamkos in Vushtrri.

The managing director of Llamkos, Basri Asllani, revealed the work plan according to which within 120 days around €7 million was invested and 512 employees were hired. Asllani said that several contracts were made to purchase new equipment worth €1,5 million and that within the next two years they will invest additional €3,5 million in the overall renovation of the factory.

Minister Dugolli said that Llamkos has fulfilled the request for the number of employees, but it should go on with the investments in the factory and the increase of capacities. He requested from Llamkos to fulfil the remained part of the obligations. Minister Dugolli said the board of KTA will discuss the case of Llamkos and will then decide whether the deadline for investments will be extended or other measures should be taken.
