Kosovo invites Swiss investors

The Kosovar Minister of Trade and Industry, Ms. Mimoza Kusari – Lila has invited Swiss companies to invest in Kosovo and has promised support by the Government. The event held in Zürich on 16 November 2011, organized by ECIKS / IPAK-Vienna in cooperation and with support of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Central Europe SEC, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Switzerland and Albinfo.ch has gathered a large number of Swiss companies.

Representatives of ECIKS, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, the CEO of Investment Promotion Agency of Kosovo (IPAK), the Kosovar Ambassador in Switzerland and other speakers have all presented facts and opportunities for investments in Kosovo.

The president of ECIKS, Mr. Kujtim Dobruna said that over 450 companies have used the free-of-charge services of the IPAK / ECIKS Office in Vienna while 22 investments projects have been implemented with the support of this office so far, creating over 900 new jobs in Kosovo.

It is believed that up to 200.000 Kosovars live in Switzerland, providing this way a possibility for a much stronger economic cooperation between two countries.
