Kosovo hosts CEFTA week 2011

The Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) Week 2011 began in Paris under the leadership of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Kosovo.

The purpose of this session in which government officials, various international organizations and representatives of the business and the diplomatic community are participating, is the negotiation of trade liberalization between CEFTA members.

CEFTA Week will focus on the key priorities for 2011 which include eliminating non-tariff barriers, trade services, customs cooperation as well as trade and investment facilitation.

Kosovo became part of CEFTA in 2006. The main objectives of this agreement are the elimination of trade barriers, investment promotion and trade facilitation leading the path towards a European Union membership.
