Kosovo Customs continues to simplify trade procedures

Kosovo’s Customs Service continues to simplify procedures for businesses in Kosovo. Starting from Monday, the importing or exporting companies are not required to get an import-export certificate.

According to the provisions of the Customs Code concerning the registration of economic entities, it has been decided that from April 2, 2012, all entities that register with the agency for business registration and Tax Administration of Kosovo will not have to additionally register at the Kosovo Customs Registration office.

For the purposes of customs procedures and of record keeping, Customs Service will use the registration number for import / export issued by the Tax Administration.
“With this action, Kosovo Customs continues to simplify procedures for businesses in Kosovo. This will reduce the time required to complete trade procedures . This is part of the reforms which are taking place in Kosovo to create a favorable environment for business. “Said the General Director of Customs Service.
