Prishtinë, Jul 6, 2006 – The Ministry of Transport and Post Telecommunication (MTPT) of Kosovo and the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Macedonia signed yesterday a protocol agreement on transport of people and goods between the two places.
The Kosovar Minister of Transport Qemal Ahmeti said that the agreement would create better conditions also for passengers. “As of today the transport of goods and passengers between Kosovo and Macedonia will enter a new phase, which will make the transport between Kosovo and Macedonia easier,” said Qemal Ahmeti.
The Kosovar minister and his Macedonian colleague also discussed the issue of the opening of new border crossing points such as the one in a place called Stancic. They also agreed on the construction of the Prizren-Tetova road.
