Foreign investors interested in privatising Kosovo power plants

Prishtina, KOSOVO – Kosovar media report that the governments’ decision to offer the units A1 and A2 of power plant “Kosovo A” for concession has triggered the interest of many foreign investors.

The Deputy Minister of Energy and Mining, Mr. Blerim Rexha, told newspapers that so far they received delegations from Turkey, Italy and Germany, who expressed their interest to invest in “Kosovo A”. According to Rexha, €300 million investment is required to put the two units of “Kosovo A” power plant back to function. The Ministry of Energy and Mining will soon publish an expression of interest for concession of A1 and A2, report Kosovar media.
