Brussels – The EU Commission has allocated €125 million for Kosovo for the budget year 2008. Priority will be given to the rule of law, social policies, European standards and the development of the education system.
Mr. Kjartan Bjornson, head of the EU Commission in Kosovo said that they have tried to prioritise their help on socio-economical issues in Kosovo as this is what Kosovo needed most.
Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi on the other hand emphasised that Kosovo is thankful to the EU and that the Kosovar Government will provide additional 15 million EUR for these purposes. He continued saying that Kosovo has an EU integration agenda.
