EasyJet enters Kosovar market

Easyjet, one of the world’s largest low-cost carriers has confirmed that it will fly Prishtina Airport from Basel and Geneva starting from June 2010. EasyJet has already started with ticket sales for Prishtina.

Initially, EasyJet will fly Prishtina 4 times per week, while prices, according to its website, are 39.95 Swiss Franks for one direction and 85.9 Franks for two directions.

According to the CEO Andy Harrison, Easyjet is the only European air company that offers solutions for more than 500 destinations to Kosovars.

The company has currently 182 operational aircrafts flying 504 destinations. It is present in 119 airports in 29 countries. EasyJet has carried over 46 million passengers in 2009.
