Prishtina, 14.03.2014 – Brezovica will become a tourist attraction and 4,000 new jobs will be created, Kosovo government officials said in a conference in Prishtina. The Ski Center project in Brezovica has the capacity to become the best center in South-East Europe. “The good news connected with the project in Brezovica is that the construction of the Pristina–Skopje highway will begin soon. This road will connect Brezovica with two international airports in Pristina and Skopje,” PM Thaçi was quoted as saying.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi and US Ambassador Tracy Ann Jacobson emphasized that 4,000 new jobs will be created in Kosovo with the Brezovica project. Ambassador Jacobson said she adores the Sharr Mountains and that she is happy about this project. “This is an opportunity for Kosovo to demonstrate before the world that it is a trustworthy public partner with the private sector. Kosovo authorities should take this chance and try for a fair and transparent process,” said Jacobson.
Five international consortiums are qualified for the Brezovica project. The winner is expected to be selected in June.
