The Balkan Venture Forum 2012, hosted by the foundation Balkan Unlimited in partnership with Crimson Capital and Europe Unlimited, will take place on the 18th and 19th of April in Skopje, Macedonia.
The BALKAN VENTURE FORUM (BKVF) will play an active role in the European innovation scene. It will foster start-ups and high-tech, high-growth entrepreneurship and internationalization of Balkan start-ups through contacts with blue chip investors.
BKVF will be an Investment Forum that will present Balkan’s best entrepreneurs/innovators to an audience of prestigious international and regional venture capital investors, corporate investors, and strategic partners.
In addition to matchmaking between investors and innovators/entrepreneurs, BkVF will organize a Pitching Competition where approximately 30 companies from the Balkans will be selected to present their ventures in front of 30 to 40 international investors and advisors. 25% of the companies from BkVF will be invited to the European Venture Summit.
BkVF is open to any high-tech company, entrepreneur, and/or innovator from the Balkans, looking to promote their business venture, attract investors, and learn about the latest investment trends within the region and globally.
BkVF will include:
• High level discussions on investment trends and market opportunities
• Presentation of investors to entrepreneurs/innovators – reverse pitching
• Presentation of entrepreneurs/innovators to investors, including the pitching competition
• One on One meetings between entrepreneurs and investors
• World-class speakers and discussion panels
• Innovation fair
