Kosovo has many mineral reserves, needs more investments

Kosovo remains one of the countries that have large mineral resources.

In a survey done with the support of the EU office in Kosovo and the engagement of officials from Kosovo’s Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals, the findings suggest that Kosovo has large reserves of minerals such as lead, zinc, nickel and gold.

Project managers have expressed concern about the lack of information for potential investors in the mining sector.

To accomplish this research, 170 thousand different samples were collected and some of them have been sent to a laboratory in Bulgaria for further research.
