The Market Access and Business Digitalisation Services for Kosovo Companies (ACCESS) project was presented in Vienna in December 2019 at the governmental meeting of the Joint Economic Commission Austria-Kosovo. Representatives of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and ECIKS reported on initiation of activities outlined by the project, aiming to enhance economic inclusion of poor and marginalized women and men in Kosovo.
A series of facilitating interventions that respond to market constraints, promote private sector development, and increase competitiveness and digitalization are to be implemented. The intervention areas include the development of business support services in the field of digitalization, as well as export promotion activities. A number of Austrian partners, including the Technical University Graz, the Danube University Krems, and the Austrian Economic Chamber are contributing to the project.
ACCESS is financed by the ADC, co-financed by the Government of Kosovo, and implemented by ECIKS. Building on more than 15 years of development cooperation and a fruitful partnership, ADC is continuing to support sustainable development and reforms in Kosovo, including promotion of private sector development.
