Six companies prequalify for transaction advisor role in the PTK privatization

The Government Privatization Commission of PTK announced the closing of the first pfase for the prequalification of companies to tender for the transaction advisor services in the privatization of the Post and Telecom of Kosovo (PTK).

The Ministry of Economic Development has received 12 applications and has prequalified 6 of them. Among companies prequalified for the tender are DLA Piper UK LLP, Ernst & Young, ING Bank NV, Lazard Freres S.A.S, PwC and Zagrebacka Banka – UniCredit Group.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the large number of companies that have expressed interest in this process and their global reputation guarantee that the competition during this process will be high, which will offer proper quality in the selection of the transaction advisor for this important process. A transaction advisor has the duty to assist the Government Privatization Commission of PTK in promoting the company before potential investors, preparing sales documents and propose necessary restructuring of the company before privatization.
