New Kosovo power plant: deadline for bids extended

The deadline for submiting bids for the new power plant in Kosovo has been extended for one month by the Project Steering Committee.

Minister of Energy and Mining, Justina Shiroka-Pula said that pre-qualified investors must submit their comments on the possible draft tender documentation until 29 October 2010.

“They had time until the end of September to submit their offers and demands, but because of the very short time and complexity of the project, Steering Committee has approved the request of investors to postpone the deadline until the end of October, “said the minister.

Upon receipt of applications, the Steering Committee will need about a month to analyze the comments and finalize the documentation.

Consortium Adani Power-Global from India and Indonesia; Electric AES Consortium Ltd/ Demir Export AS from the United States and Turkey; Park Holding from Turkey and Consortium PPC / Contour Global LLP from Greece, England and the U.S. are in the race for the new power plant in Kosovo
