Kosovos ISP to sell 55% of shares

Prishtina, 27 August 2007 – An American company is currently discussing the purchase of 55% of the shares of the Kosovar Internet provider Kujtesa, reported newspapers in Kosovo.

The American company was previously partner of “Kujtesa” in the tender for the second mobile telephony operator in Kosovo.

Kosovar media reported that the purchase of the shares worth € 12.5 million is a condition to the companies’ joint investment in fibre optical cables in Kosovo. The purpose of the joint investment is to expand the optical cables across Kosovo. The representatives of both companies refused to comment on the purchase.
