Kosovo Post and Telecom sues Norwegian Telenor

Prishtina, 14 December 2006 – The PTK sued the new owner of Serb Mobtel, Telenor, asking for €400m compensation, KTV and dailies report. The decision was made by the PTK Board of Directors. According to KTV sources, the charge is related to the damage the Norwegian company caused to the only operator of mobile telephony, Vala, when installing its antennas in Kosovo territory.

Telenor representatives said they are not informed about this charge. Kai Rosenberg, Telenor’s Communication Director, said he had received no official document from the court. “We can not comment on this issue as long there is nothing official,” said Rosenberg.
