Kosovo: CBP has not yet refunded €25 million

Prishtina, 24 January 2007 – The Credit Bank of Kosovo (CBP), which went bankrupt in March last year, has so far paid back only €8.814 million out of €34 million that were deposited at this bank.

Hilmi Hana, CBP receiver, said that CBP creditors owe more than €26.5 million. “So far the creditors have paid back only €1.8 million,” said Hana. “Their interest rate is 8% and in case they do not pay within the deadline, creditors will be subject to punishments.” Hana also said there are many cases to be solved at court.
