The net value of loans granted to customers by commercial banks operating in Kosovo has increased slightly between March and June of this year. According to the Central Bank report published at the end of last week, the value of total bank loans amounted to 1.6 billion Euros by June 30.
Compared with March, the value of credits has increased by 37 million Euros. In addition to lending, the value of customer deposits in banks has also increased. By the end of June the value of customer deposits in banks amounted to 2.1 billion Euros.
Despite the slight increase in the value of loans and deposits, commercial banks operating in Kosovo have doubled profits from March to June of this year. The profit marked by the end of June was 16.3 million Euros in comparison to the 8.7 million Euros in March, reports the daily newspaper „Koha Ditore“.
The highest profitability was marked by the “Pro-Credit Bank”. This bank has doubled ist profits in just three months, from 5 million Euros in March, to 10.4 million Euros at the end of June.
