Kosovo and Montenegro to remove double taxation

Kosovo Minister of Economy and Finances, Ahmet Shala and his Montenegrin counterpart, Branko Vujovic, agreed in Podgorica to intensify economic cooperation, mainly in the field of privatization, tourism and removal of double taxation.

Vujovic and Shala agreed to raise the level of interstate cooperation in the energy field and initiate the preparation of concrete agreements in the field of economy.

Minister Shala has invited all businesses from Montenegro to invest in Kosovo. He said that Kosovo has created favorable conditions for investors, who are protected by laws according to EU standards.

On this occasion, Minister Shala thanked his counterpart for the support of the Republic of Montenegro, especially in the case of Kosovo’s membership in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank and also urged support for Kosovo’s membership in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and in the Development Bank of Council of Europe.
