Kosovo: Airport increases the number of passengers

Prishtina, 12 November 2007 – According to airport spokesperson Skender Bucolli, Prishtina International Airport will soon receive the first conditional certification from Icelandic authorities. The certification is also be granted upon the increased number of passengers. Bucolli further says that at the beginning of the year another three additional airlines started operating in PIA: Atlas Jet flies to Turkey, SAS for Denmark and Air Berlin to Germany, whereas compared with last year the winter season begins with five more airlines. “It is needed to stress that except the increased number of airlines, the number of passengers increased by 11,5% and the number of flights by 4%,” said Bucolli.
