About 1080 public schools, universities and other educational institutions in Kosovo will be connected to the Internet through optical fiber and equipped with computers and other hardware. The government of Kosovo has signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with the Telecom of Kosovo.
According to the Prime Minister, Hashim Thaçi, the memorandum will alleviate the implementation of this project. The 80 million EUR project will be implemented by Kosovo Telecom.
Private universities and schools in Kosovo as well as some of the public universities, already offer their students modern telecommunication services. Through this project, Kosovo will equip all its schools and educational institutions.
