Installation of fiscal cash registers continues in Kosovo

Kosovo has begun the process of equipping the retail companies with fiscal cash registers. Hava Ademi, spokeswoman for the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK), said that the installation of fiscal cash registers in Kosovo is in its initial stage.

According to the regulation, companies are obliged to buy their own fiscal registers, but there are only two certified operators who activate the devices.

TAK has so far not received any complaints from businesses that have installed these devices, which enable electronic tax declaration.

TAK has decided that all larger retail companies must be equipped with fiscal cash registers by May 15, 2010. Medium companies have time to install the equipment until May 31, while the small shops will be provided with devices as soon as possible.
