Central Banks of Kosovo and Albania signed MoU

Prishtina, July 8, 2005 – The Banking and Payments Authority of Kosovo (BPK) and the Central Bank of Albania (BKSH), on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the bank supervision field.

Ardian Fullani, Governor of the Central Bank of Albania, said that this agreement is very important for the two places in terms of increasing the cooperation and mutual assistance.

Meanwhile, Ajri Begu, chairman of the BPK Board of Directors said, “We need a direct cooperation, because the two places are aspiring to integrate into EU.”

According to the BPK Managing Director, Michel Svetchine, the agreement has a special importance not only for the BPK, but also for the Bank of Albania.
