Enabling Income Generation for the Poor (EnInGeP)

EnInGeP is a transformative initiative designed to foster a resilient, inclusive, and dynamic private sector in Kosovo. The project targets key economic challenges, including limited job creation, restricted access to finance, and gender disparities, with a strong focus on empowering vulnerable groups, particularly women and youth.

Through strategic interventions, EnInGeP enhances market support functions, strengthens financial accessibility, and accelerates digital transformation for MSMEs. Key initiatives include:

  • Strengthening Entrepreneurial Support Systems – Modernizing business services to ensure inclusive growth.
  • Expanding Access to Finance – Facilitating funding for innovative and high-potential enterprises.
  • Advancing Digitalization – Providing MSMEs with digital solutions and technical support.
  • Promoting Women in ICT – Supporting the Digi Women Cluster to enhance female participation in the sector.
  • Enhancing Financial Literacy – Leveraging the Biznesi Im platform to educate and empower entrepreneurs.
  • Establishing Kosovo’s Fund for Innovation and Technological Development – Driving long-term economic growth and innovation.

Impact Goals

  • 10,000+ MSMEs Empowered – Enabling businesses to overcome systemic challenges and thrive.
  • 300 Sustainable Jobs Created/Maintained – Supporting individuals and families through long-term employment opportunities.

Funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation and jointly implemented by CARE International and ECIKS, EnInGeP is laying the foundation for a more inclusive and prosperous Kosovo.
