Vienna, 19 October 2007 – The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are organising a meeting on ‘Business Opportunities in South East Europe’ within the framework of the UNDP Growing Sustainable Business (GSB) Initiative, on Thursday, 22nd November, from 13:30 – 18:00 hrs in Vienna.

During the event, the Economic Initiative for Kosova (ECIKS), representing the Investment promotion Agency of Kosovo (IPAK) in Vienna, will also provide specific information on business opportunities in Kosovo.
The Forum is intended for Austrian companies who are interested to engage in responsible investment in several sectors, with a focus on the following high potential sectors:
a) Energy and Environment
b) Agro Processing
The overall objective of the event is to promote investment by Austrian businesses in South Eastern Europe, with positive impact on sustainable development. The event is designed as a unique platform which will bring together UNDP’s GSB business development brokers, ADA representatives and Austrian business community to discuss specific projects and sector-focused business opportunities in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, and accordingly, to jointly explore opportunities to promote sustainable development.
