The agriculture and food industry fair has been opened in Prishtina with the participation of 60 companies. The fair is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.
Minister of Agriculture, Blerand Stavileci, said that a new stage in the development of the agriculture sector in Kosovo has begun.
“We are working to increase the number of farms, increase their processing skills and increase arable surfaces, reducing production costs and increasing productivity”, said Stavileci.
The President of Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Safet Gërxhaliu, said in the opening ceremony that although small in territory, Kosovo has all the chances to become competitive in the region.
